Archivio Progetti is an interdepartmental centre of the Università
Iuav di Venice that pursues the goal of building a collection of
materials
on architecture useful for educational and research purposes, predisposing
services for professional and specialised users from the university community.
The activities of Archivio Progetti are in the
museum,
archival, and
documentary spheres.
The collections include
drawings,
models,
documents, and
photographic materials
and fall into two thematic areas: the first regards the Istituto Universitario
di Architettura in Venice, from its foundation in 1926 with the collection
of the professional and academic archives of the most eminent professors
of the IUAV; the second is concerned with the city of Venice and the Veneto
territory, with its urban and architectonic transformations, projects, competitions,
buildings constructed or imagined from the mid-nineteenth century to the
present.
